The idea for Paws to Wash came
from Beth visiting her sister in California. While visiting her sister, she went to wash
her dog Bubba. That was her first experience with a self serve doggie wash. It was
convenient and fun!
At that point the seed was planted. Beth
knew that she wanted to open a doggie wash in Bridgman. Beth needed a location that had
easy access for the public. She found that space in the Bridgman Garden and Feed Store
on Lake Street in Bridgman. She and her husband Dave bought the building on October 4,
2004 and opened the doggie wash on April 1, 2005. Paws to Wash has had over 2000
furry friends visit for a wash.
Part of their business is Bridgman Garden
and Feed Store, therefore, they also sell livestock feed, flowers and other garden items.
They also have a large choice of wild bird feed and bird feeders. In order to accomodate
this feed, they built a small barn adjacent to the store.
